Privacy and donor information policy.

Our commitment

J.C. Tamno Books Foundation respects the privacy of visitors, donors, volunteers, program participants and partners. We collect only the information reasonably needed to respond to requests, administer programs, process approved transactions and communicate with people who choose to hear from us.

Information you provide

Information may include your name, contact details, organization, areas of interest and the content of an inquiry. Donation information submitted through an approved payment provider is handled under that provider’s security and privacy practices.

How information is used

We use information to respond to inquiries, coordinate programs and partnerships, administer gifts, maintain required nonprofit records, improve website performance and send communications that a person has requested or consented to receive.

Donor privacy

We do not sell, rent or trade donor information. Public recognition of a donor is made only with appropriate permission or according to the donor’s stated preference.

Service providers

Trusted service providers may process limited information on the Foundation’s behalf for website hosting, analytics, communications, event registration or secure payment processing. They are permitted to use that information only to provide the contracted service and meet legal obligations.

Data choices and retention

You may request correction of your contact information or ask to stop nonessential communications. Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, nonprofit recordkeeping and applicable legal requirements.

Children’s privacy

The Foundation does not knowingly use this website to collect personal information directly from children without appropriate parent, guardian or institutional authorization. Program photographs and stories should be published only under the Foundation’s consent and safeguarding practices.

Updates

This policy may be updated as the Foundation’s programs and service providers evolve. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
